Cyber security is an increasingly essential requirement for contemporary society and universal market. We exist in a data-centric world, where information security is much needed to pervade every aspect of our lives. But the challenge to understand cyber gamble and provide effective and accessible security solution becomes harder as technology moves towards the trend which we call internet of things where our digital gadgets become more complex. Our critical infrastructure increasingly dependents upon such information and communications infrastructures, and the threats.
Gujarat Technological University (GTU) is a technological university established by Government of Gujarat vides Act No. 20/2007.Today the university has about 5, 00,000 plus students, 500 affiliated colleges and 17000 faculties and a large number of Master’s programs and 67 master's program and a robust doctoral programs.
Any educational system at any level has to attempt to nurture the natural instincts of enquiry in a student so that she is able to use her intellect creatively to enrich our world with innovative thinking. A Master's program is specifically designed so that a student may be able to formally learn the processes of scientific research and methods of rigorously critical thinking. Objective of the Course:
This program targeted towards grooming students in the area of human-computer interaction and Information System and Cyber Security. The objective of this course is to enable the student to understand the concepts of network security and learn the techniques of detecting the attacks and securing a network from internal and outside attacks At the end of the course, the student will be able to understand a variety of generic security threats and vulnerabilities, understand the principles and practices of cryptographic techniques, identify and analyze particular security problems for a given application and apply appropriate security techniques to solve security problems.
